The bizarre conclusion to the Marina Del Rey dog drowning tied to shovel case:
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has been deluged with calls and emails from area residents afraid a serial dog killer had been on the loose in Marina Del Rey, after a group of people in an early morning canoe paddling practice last week, found a drowned puppy attached to a shovel on Mother’s Beach. On Friday, the sheriff’s department stated the dog had not drowned; the pup had been hit by a car and was already dead when it was brought to the beach.
