A nice Miss South Africa image:
Amidst the blue

The outlook for my camera is not good. It no longer takes a single shot without an ERR 99. I have tried all the tips and tricks but nothing works so far. What is worse is that Canon are not very prevalent in Ireland. There is no Canon service center, even just for pick-up, in Waterford. The nearest is Dublin and even they will send it over to Canon U.K. They reckon it could take 3-4 weeks to get the camera back.
I’ll send it in as it is a good camera and it would be great to have it working again. But 3 weeks is a long time especially as I have just arrived in Ireland and Brian and Ulla are driving me all over. I missed a grand scene just yesterday down by Dramore with the Atlantic ocean crashing into the coastline. In the past few days I have come to fully realise just how much my camera means to me. It is an important part of where I go and what I see. Without it things just are not the same and on returning home after a day out I itch to have photographs to look through. It is a way of seeing and fully taking in where I am.
The solution seems to be to get a new camera. Either a Canon 350D or Canon 20D. Europe and the U.K. though are pretty expensive when it comes to electronics, 850 euros for a 350D and 1,300 euros for a 20D. Bloody annoying really, I don’t need this expense right now.
So now new photos for awhile, sorry all.
