WBGO Kids Jazz Concert Series: Dion Parson – a Africa interest event taking place on 2017-04-08 13:30:00 in United States
WBGO Kids Jazz Concert Series is excited to present jazz drummer Dion Parson, as he performs his "Rhythms of West Africa and the Caribbean and their influence on Jazz, America's True Art Form"! Dion is a Grammy award-winning artist whose music is inspired by the sounds and rhythms of the Caribbean music he grew up with. This concert will undoubtedly educate the audience on the musical connections between reggae, calypso and jazz as much as it will entertain them. Recommended ages for this event are from 14-18. Adults must be accompanied by a child. Organizations with groups of 15 or greater can apply for transportation funding at wbgo.org/kids. For any questions about the event, please email kids@wbgo.org, or call LaQuin Lay at 973-643-4763.
