    This camera is so much better than the Fisherprice equivalent it replaced. It came with batteries installed (that was a nice touch, VTech!) and the built in memory holds many, many pictures. My daughter (7) absolutely loves it as she figured out all the bells and whistles in just a few minutes. It takes still pictures (2MB), video, and even has a voice recorder. The pictures can be “enhanced” with different cartoon shapes or funny distortion and put into a slide show. This unit also has a little flash (LED light). Picture quality is so-so but adequate and my daughter has a lot of fun with it nonetheless. After one solid week of using it, taking a hundred+ pictures, viewing, and deleting them, the batteries (4x AA) finally gave out. I will probably add a micro SD card to it so she can keep a bunch on the camera for viewing. The camera also has a USB port and cable for downloading to a computer.

    This camera was a birthday present for my beautiful twin grandaughter. She is 4 years old and loves it. Works very easy and the pictures are pretty good…..not super duper….but definitely good enough for a 4 year old. And, she especially loves the flip feature and takes lots of pictures of herself. Definitely worth the money. And, the company did a special ship because it was for a birthday and did not charge me extra. Kudos to V-Tech for that extra measure. They did not have to do that. But, it was much appreciated.

    Purchased for my daughter’s third birthday and have been waiting to write a review until she opened and played with it for awhile. Its been about 10 days since she opened it and it was definitely a stand out gift surrounded by many very nice presents from family. I would definitely buy again for many reasons…

    1. She loves it!
    2. Very sturdy (already dropped once on purpose because side of package shows someone dropping it so she thought it was an added feature couldnt even be upset lol)
    3. Unlike the base model she loves fliping the lense to take selfies with our dog:)
    4. Unlike the base model you can easly turn front lense to change fun filters easily and she loves playing with that as well
    5. Mega pixal is 2.0 instead of 1.2

    The only thing i had to explain was she had to stand still or picture would blur but good motor skills for her to work on! haven’t played the games or recorded videos yet but she uses it very easily on her own and loves the independence of being able to be creative and take pictures on her own.
    It keeps her very entertained in a productive manor while having a ton of fun.

    Its larger than i thought but not to large very functional! Battery life is good again it’s very sturdy! pictures are great for a kids camera. It was a great buy and definitely recommend the added features are definitely worth it!
