Virginia State Parks History and Culture Day – a Culture interest event taking place on 2020-06-13 11:00:00 in United States
Testing the Waters (11:00 a.m.) – How hard is it to create a lake, anyway? Make one and find out. We'll be building (miniature) dams to explore how man-made lakes are formed. We'll dig into the incredible story of the African-American men who built the dams that spawned our "twin" lakes. Archery (1 p.m.) – Do you think you could survive without a grocery store? Many people did for thousands of years, helped in part by tools like the bow and arrow. Come test your skills and learn the basics of target archery at this program. Cost is a person, or a person for groups of four or more. Closed-toe shoes required. Parks are for everyone. This is an inclusive program open to all people. To ensure an enjoyable time, please alert park staff to any necessary special accommodations you or your group may need. ***Location Detail: The Beach
at Sailor’s Creek Battlefield State Park 617 & State Highway 618 Rice United States – Add your South African Event here.
