We’re in Yokohama, Japan, for the CP+ Expo, the annual camera industry trade show for the latest products from Japanese manufacturers. There’s booth after booth of camera bodies, lenses, software updates and more to pursue, along with the occasional surprises and headscratchers.

For our team, this is a special time, not just to run from one company to the next to see what they have cooking but also to meet with industry insiders to learn more about where the industry is going and what they think about the future of photography. CP+ is also a time of new product launches. So far this week, we’ve seen six lens announcements, various firmware and product releases and the long-awaited release of the Fujifilm X100VI.
We wanted to give you a glimpse of what we’re seeing at the Expo in the video below. Can you spot some of the latest and greatest from the various camera, lens and accessory manufacturers?
That’s just 30 seconds of the experience of CP+; imagine spending a few days here. What should we keep an eye out for? What do you want to see from the show? Let us know in the comments below.
The Fujifilm X100VI is the sixth iteration of Fujifilm’s classically-styled large sensor compact. A 40MP X-Trans sensor, in-body stabilization and 6.2K video are among the updates.
The Nikon Zf is a 24MP full-frame mirrorless camera with classic looks that brings significant improvements to Nikon’s mid-price cameras. We just shot a sample reel to get a better feel for its video features and have added our impressions to the review.
This $250 electronic lens adapter is perfect for Nikon Z-mount curious Sony shooters — shhh, we won’t tell anyone.
Sony updates the ZV-1, giving the vlog-centric compact camera a 18-50mm equivalent F1.8-4.0 lens that’s now wide enough for less cramped selfie mode videos.

Our DPREVIEW Tribute:
After nearly 25 years of operation, DPReview closed on 10 April 2023. This difficult decision was part of the annual operating plan review that parent company, Amazon, shared earlier this year.
Over the course of 25 years, DP Review built up a reputation as being one of the most informative places to go for information about that new camera or lens you’re after. DP Review began as an independent reviews site based in the UK in 1998, the brainchild of Philip and Joanna Askey, but it was eventually purchased by Amazon in 2007 and relocated over to Seattle in the USA in 2010.
Cheers DPReview – thanks for the great work and content that guided photographers, videographers and techno junkies the world over!
