That weird wolflike creature? It has now been identified:
The animal killed by a rancher on May 16 was said to be a member of the dog family, but beyond that, a spokesman for the state wildlife agency said last month, “We have no idea what that is.” Some who examined the animal said it could not be a wolf because of physical characteristics including small teeth, small paws and big ears.
