Sophie’s Gallery Presents: “Common Ground: The Art of Culture, Unity & Friendship” – a Culture interest event taking place on 2017-06-04 17:00:00 in United States
Sophie’s Kensington Gallery is featuring four artists from the Iraqi Culture & Arts Association in a show titled “Common Ground: The Art of Culture, Unity & Friendship.” The show features Iraqi artists whose careers started in Iraq and are now making headway into the American art world. The “Common Ground” show held during the popular art and music event, “Art Around Adams,” will create greater awareness of the Iraqi culture, as the commonalities inherent in the language of art helps to build bridges to the greater community.
The show runs June 3 – July 1, 2017, at the Sophie’s Kensington Gallery located at 4186 Adams Ave., San Diego, CA 92116. Join us at the public reception on June 3rd from 5-8 p.m. for a chance to meet the artists. The exhibit also features local Kensington artist, Peter Geise, at the space-in-between, the small storefront between the Autism Research Institute and Sophie’s Kensington Gallery.
