Simplified Beginnings – Painting the Head from Life in Three Colors – a Beauty interest event taking place on 2021-01-23 00:00:00 in United States
If you’ve drawn and painted portraits from photographs but felt intimidated to work from a live model, this one-day class is for you. We will approach painting the model simply, concentrating on basic proportions of the head without concern for capturing a perfect likeness. With a three-color palette, we will divide the head into light and shadow. We will strive to clearly define values by mixing 3 values for the light and two values for the shadow using the three colors plus white. Jean will help you mix beautiful flesh tones in a simple way. Focus will be on creating a strong three-dimensional form and a believable representation of the head. Join Jean for a fun, friendly and informative day.
