Send it. The South African Startup taking on Zoom.

Send it. The South African Startup taking on Zoom.:

[21 May 2020] In an attempt to reinvent themselves and preserve jobs, a Johannesburg based startup has quickly built and launched an end-to-end online video streaming platform that enables creators to monetise their audiences via free or pay-to-view live broadcasts.

“We’ve been in the eventing and media industry for many years and have seen the devastating financial impact that COVID has had on many related creative industries. There are lots of chefs, fitness & dance instructors struggling to make ends meet.” Says James Coetzee one of the co-founders of Send it. “Unfortunately until now, there hasn’t been a one-stop-shop tech platform that these creatives can use to generate income by delivering pay-to-view live broadcasts” adds Brandon Muller, the other co-founder.

Introduce Send it. An easy to use platform where users can create a unique webpage for their online broadcast, choose to monetise it or grant free access, and then go live at the scheduled time.

Send it has just launched and is currently free for anyone to use that’s hosting free live broadcasts. For those hosting paid streams, Send it charges a 5% fee which goes toward covering the cost of credit card processing fees.

Send it has also built an enterprise solution that allows the delivery of zero-rated/reverse billed video content either live or on-demand. This means that enterprises can foot the data bill for their end-users. A conferencing solution will also be included in this enterprise suite in due time.

If you’d like more information about this topic or if you would like to speak to one of the founders, please email info@sendit.media and a call can be arranged.
