This Radeberger beer mat is the same on both sides. The Radeberger brewery was founded in 1872 in Radeberg, about 20 km (12 miles) northeast of Dresden. The beer found favor with German Chancellor Otto von Bismark and with Kings of Sachsen (Saxony). Radeberger is now part of the Dr. Oetker firm.
I drank Radeberger beer with an excellent dinner at Old Hamburg restaurant. It is in Holmes Beach, on Anna Maria Island, near Bradenton, Florida. Old Hamburg is the best German restaurant in the area, but is 30 miles (50 km) from our home.
