One lucky mountain biker stands a chance to win a whopping R30 000 Specialized Bicycles SA Voucher and two entries into the 2021 Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience that will take place in Stellenbosch on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November 2021.
“We value the opportunity to be involved with an iconic event like the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience,” says Kylie Hanekom, Specialized Bicycles SA Marketing Specialist. “It’s an event that brings riders of all levels, ages and backgrounds together to celebrate a shared love of cycling. After the stress of the Covid-19 pandemic we need events to bring people together in a safe and fun environment. Stellenbosch is home to some of the best trails in the country, and the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience is a celebration of this. It is fantastic that riders are encouraged to sit up and enjoy their surroundings and the social aspect of mountain-biking, instead of watching their watts and the clock with their head down. It’s the perfect way to wind down after a busy year and celebrate the sport we all love.”
“Trail advocacy is one of our core values as a brand,” continues Hanekom. “Without trails to ride there is no reason to buy bikes. Over the years we’ve invested heavily in developing the Stellenbosch trail network, with a particular focus on Jonkershoek. The trails that riders will enjoy on race day are a visible manifestation of our investment in the community. In addition, we will have a tech zone at the race village selling last-minute spares and quick fixes to make sure all the riders enjoy a hassle-free experience on the trail!”
“Over and above making incredible bicycles, Specialized puts a great deal of investment into designing equipment and apparel – made for riders by riders,” adds Hanekom. “We are excited to offer a R30 000 voucher as the prize for a competition that will be run on social media. The hope is that the voucher will allow one lucky winner to experience and enjoy our incredible product range first-hand.”
