The Bowmen of Walker invite you to the Carpathia WRS Tournament on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July 2017. Day 1: Saturday 8th July 2017 Rounds: World Record Status Double WA 720 70m and 60m, 50m (Compound) All compound archers will shoot the 50m round, all other bow types will shoot the 70m round or the 60m Cadet round. Day 2: Sunday 9th July 2017 Rounds: World Record Status Ladies and Gentlemen WA 1440 Junior Gentlemen under 18 METRIC I Junior Gentlemen under 16, Junior Ladies under 18 METRIC II Junior Gentlemen under 14, Junior Ladies under 16 METRIC III Junior Gentlemen under 12, Junior Ladies under 14 METRIC IV Programme Day 1: Registration: From 8.15am Assembly: 9:00am, followed by up to 45 minutes practice and equipment inspection. Shooting starts: 10:00am Following practice all rounds will be shot in a double detail with 6 arrows shot in 4 minutes. There will be a 15 minute comfort break at 3 dozen. There will be a 45 minute lunch break before shooting commences in the afternoon. Day 2: Registration from 08:15am Assembly 08:45an, followed by up to 45 minutes of practice and equipment inspection Shooting starts: 9:30am Gentlemen, Ladies 70/60m and appropriate Junior Metric two longer distances will be shot in ends of 6 arrows on 122cm faces, within a time period of 4mins. The two shorter distances will be shot in 6 arrow ends on 80cm six zone faces, within a time period of 4mins. Entry The closing date for entries is Monday 26 June 2017. The entry fee for day 1 is £12.50 and for day 2 it is £12.50 for over 18 yrs of age and £8.00 for under 18 yrs of age Archery GB or accredited World Archery Association membership cards must be available for inspection. Please note: tickets are not transferable. If you are unable to attend, please apply for a refund through Eventbrite so your place can be re-allocated to another archer. Please note that refunds will not be considered after the closing date. Age Classification Juniors: Under 20 years of age to 18 years of age (including those archers who's 20th birthsday falls within this year). Cadets: Under 17 years and younger (including those archers who's 17th birthsday falls within this year). Juniors under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian/named adult whilst on the premises. The Organisers and the Judges cannot act as supervisors. Dress Archery GB dress regulations will apply. Archers should comply with the dress regulations until after the presentations. Drug Testing Archers competing at Record Status Tournaments may be liable for drugs testing. Competitors who are approached to give samples must comply. Non-compliance will be treated as a positive result. Parents/guardians must sign the relevant box on the entry forms giving consent for junior archers (under 18s) to be drug tested if approached. Lost Arrows Lost arrows must be reported to a judge or member of the field party (please remember to inform them if you later find the arrow). It is the archer’s responsibility to account for all arrows before leaving the field. Special Notes: Archers who are unable to get to the target should arrange for an assistant to aid in scoring and arrow collection. Photography In line with the Archery GB Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults Policy, those who wish to take photographs or video at this event must register with the Tournament Secretary on arrival. Unauthorised photography is not permitted. Venue Information Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence is a no-smoking site. Pets are not permitted at Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence (Guide Dogs excepted). Car parks are available at the front and side of the site, but parking directly next to the archery field will be limited.
