This November we welcome one of the finest selectors in the biz, (and a long standing PBF favourite) Nabilhah Iqbal, to the PBF DJ booth for what will be a very special night!
Many musicians like to speak of versatility, but Nabihah Iqbal has better grounds than most. She boasts an MPhil (focused on African history) from Cambridge, experience working in human rights law and a black belt in Karate. Formerly known as Throwing Shade, she’s ditched that moniker to embrace the name she was born with and he subsequent releases on Ninja Tune, mixes for boiler room and the mixmag lab and appearances at festivals and club nights all over the UK and Europe have made her one of the most respected tastemakers in the industry!
PBF & Sounddhism DJs warm things up and close things down with the last set.
As with all our events, we will be celebrating a mixture of global sounds present, past and future from Africa, South America and the Caribbean, delving through the outer peripheries of disco, house, funk, soul, highlife, dub, hip-hop, broken beat and beyond.
