Opening the Africa Collection Exhibition – a Africa interest event taking place on 2016-04-28 10:00:00 in United States
The Longyear Museum of Anthropology—in collaboration with Mary H. Moran, professor of anthropology and Africana & Latin American studies; students in her spring 2016 course Introduction to African Studies; and other student volunteers—announces a new exhibition, Opening the Africa Collection. Featuring material culture from the African collection displayed in an “open storage” format, the exhibit considers the politics of collection and representation in museums.
