St Pauls London midday and here starts the mobilisation of the Occupy ideology on this side of the Atlantic.Oct 15th and what began as an idea to occupy, discuss and set up debate in the form of peoples assembly is now in London.World wide action this day in many cities have been caught up with this peoples movement.For that is what it is, a peoples movement, beyond polictical parties , it’s very nature of being all inclusive is it’s strength in making this a momentum of action worldwide.Hearing reports today of it’s failure to enter Paternoster Square is not the point.No matter where the end target for meeting the success is in the action and very discussion taking place.Global markets, politics being hijacked by multi national corporations, bank bailouts the cutting of public services wars being fought worldwide in the name of democracy and the complete nature of many of our main media outlets these days to be a lacking in content and good insightful journalism has made people feel this complete void in having any say in there daily lives.We know things are wrong, we know we have to bring a sense of justice and humanity to the forefront of policy decisions .Greed ain’t no good.
Each time we debate, sit and listen on these issues who knows who hears, but i like to think something has touched maybe, one or two .And so this is how we should measure success.A slow movement , starting with Occupy, a resurgence in public debate, a taken back of our very selfs and not a these labels the markets attach to us as a commodity and consumer, .Better things as the Kinks song implies maybe? A faith in better to come? A beginning I hope.The very nature of us being here on this day shows a belief in wanting better and it’s a never ending keeping balance and checks on our so called leaders
