Alternative Routes

An alternative route towards Willows/Schoenies via Gomery Road, through NMU and into Marine Drive exiting right, will be available for the duration of the morning.
Access between Admiralty and 2 nd Avenue is accesible via Erasmus Drive and Brighton Drive.

Assistance and Exceptions

As there will be no access along Marine drive between 2 nd avenue and Lodge Road, an arrangement has been made for businesses and residents, as well as emergency vehicles to access Lodge Road via the Boardwalk between 06h30 and 09h45. Enter the Boardwalk at the top entrance at the NMU circle.

Access to Pine Lodge or Sanccob will be available via the back gate of NMU, driving on the sea side lane. Access to the Golf Course can be obtained by crossing Admiralty at Brighton Drive, turning left onto grass and right into coned lane in Marine Drive to the entrance of the golf course. Only available before 07h20 and after 09h30.

City Lodge, Brookes Hill and Town Lodge staff and guests will have one lane available towards the City until La Roche Drive.

Residents in the flats between La Roche and Kings Beach are requested to only park on the land side. One lane will be made available for residents to exit at all times.

Residents in Admiralty between University Way and Marine Drive, are requested to leave their premises with care and seek assistance from the closest marshal to assist you. Please proceed towards Brighton Drive and turn left. Please keep your speed to a maximum of 20 kmh as there will be runners on the right hand side lane, which will be coned.

Additional Road Closure

Total road closure of the short section between 8th Avenue and 9 th Avenue will be in force from 10h00 on Wednesday, 31 May 2023 until 14h00 on Saturday, 3 June 2023 to allow for setup of the finish line structures.

We will do our utmost to assist motorists affected and request your co-operation to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone on the day.

It would be highly appreciated if you would inform your staff and clients of the road closure arrangements in place, and feel free to come and cheer the athletes along the way.
