Nikon’s Nikkor 28mm F2.8 full-frame prime has been out for a couple of years but we’d be remiss if we didn’t get some sample images for our database. This compact wide-angle lens is affordable and even comes in two styles, a modern version and a retro design that matches the Nikon Z fc perfectly.
We took this appealing lens out around Seattle on both the Nikon Z9 and Z7. Is it worth adding to your kit? Check out the samples to see the image quality for yourself.

The Fujifilm X-T5 is the company’s latest classically-styled APS-C mirrorless camera. It gains the 40MP sensor and AF system from the X-H2 but in a body with a more stills-focused slant. We’ve been putting it through its paces.
Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom impress in a lot of ways, but their noise reduction lags the competition and their lens corrections lack a real-world basis. DxO PureRAW 3 aims to come to their rescue without totally reinventing your workflow!
The Sony ZV-E1 is the company’s latest vlogging-focused camera: a full-frame mirrorless camera based the FX3/a7S III sensor, aimed at YouTubers and ‘creators’ looking to go pro.

Our DPREVIEW Tribute:
After nearly 25 years of operation, DPReview closed on 10 April 2023. This difficult decision was part of the annual operating plan review that parent company, Amazon, shared earlier this year.
Over the course of 25 years, DP Review built up a reputation as being one of the most informative places to go for information about that new camera or lens you’re after. DP Review began as an independent reviews site based in the UK in 1998, the brainchild of Philip and Joanna Askey, but it was eventually purchased by Amazon in 2007 and relocated over to Seattle in the USA in 2010.
Cheers DPReview – thanks for the great work and content that guided photographers, videographers and techno junkies the world over!
