Passing the New Dance Order brings you to Rock Street Asia, a perfect backdrop for photos with details that seem to have come from the other side of the world. The space is one of the news for this year and features a cherry tree, typical of Japan, strategically placed for photos.
Rock Street has already brought to Rock City themes like New Orleans jazz energy and African rhythms and colors. Now it will receive the charms, culture and air of the world’s largest continent: Asia.
The project developed by architect João Uchôa in partnership with sculptor Glauco Bernardi deserves special attention to the eclectic design of the grand towers, the colorful roofs and the lace that adorn palaces, temples, churches and houses. For Roberto Medina, this is “the richest architecture created by humanity”.
All representation of this continent will be centered on the playfulness dedicated to the promotion of music, the encounter and the ancient art of the eastern world. Porticoes, props, ombrelones, large-scale sculptures and beautiful landscaping will provide yet another playful complement to the square that runs the length of the new Rock Street, which will also feature 20 houses. Unlike the previous streets, Rock Street Asia and its beautiful monuments promise to still be a space for contemplation and reflection. The houses will honor places like the Philippines with Paoay Church House; China and its famous wall; Thailand with its temples; and Palestine and Israel, with the Jacir Palace and the Rock Summit that will stand side by side to promote peace between them.
