"Sorta like Oktoberfest. Only Novemberier.

Join us at Rustico Restaurant Alexandria, Virginia, for the third annual Novemberfest on Saturday, November 1st, 2014, from 12-5 PM! This year’s festival will highlight the best of local breweries and food artisans from across our great state of Virginia.

Our Beer Director, Greg Engert, will be selecting no fewer than 52 drafts, 5 casks, 6 bottles and 14 NoVA debuts showcasing an expansive array of styles, from strong stouts and potent porters to pumpkin ales and session ales, as well as fresh-hop harvest brews, IPAs, sours, barrel-aged beauties, outstanding bottled brews and ciders–each brewed locally by the burgeoning bevy of no fewer than 33 different Virginia craft brewers. We are even welcoming a number of breweries to Northern Virginia for the very first time, such as The Answer Brewpub, Strangeways Brewing, Ardent Craft Ales and Triple Crossing Brewing Company!

The day will also feature a menu of stick-to-your-ribs, festival fare such as BBQ Pork Sandwiches, Chicken Tendies, Fish and Chips, Chili, Half Smokes, Soft Pretzels with Cheddar Cheese Sauce and Fried Mac n’ Cheese.

Local VA bands Wes Tucker and The Walkaways will bring the tunes for the day. And we’ll have a costume contest (it is Halloween weekend after all!) with some great prizes for the following 3 categories: Best Beer-Related Costume (lederhosen/Oktoberfest attire encouraged), Best Kids Costume and Most Creative.

Admission is at the door which goes directly to our friends at Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture and gets you a Novemberfest koozie (while supplies last). Kids under 14 are free. Food and drink tickets will be sold separately and used to purchase food and drink inside the event; = 1 ticket. 14-ounce full beers will average from 5 to 8 tickets, while 6-ounce tasting portions will be available for approximately half the price.
