Mandy In A Bikini On Honeymoon – 1971

I found this lost photo in a book along with one other. The Kodak paper had faded and its colors bled badly, but I restored it as best I could. Mandy weighed 48 kg then and is 165 cm tall (106 lb., 5’5"). She modeled for Ann Taylor in New York in ’69 and ’70 before she graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and was known on campus for her amazing feminine grace and beauty. She was 22 on this date.
I took this shot on the beach in Pensacola, Florida on or about May 11, 1971, just before we went out on a sailboat onto Pensacola Bay. We were hit with a thunderstorm while trying to return to the quay. We capsized. We survived after swimming to shore, and left for Selma the next day to meet family, then headed back to Yale.
