The Victoria & Alfred waterfront is located in South Africa’s oldest working harbour in Cape Town. The 300 acre area has been developed for mixed use containing residential as well as commercial real estate. Prince Alfred, the second son of Queen Victoria, began construction on the harbour in 1860, and named the first basin after himself. The second basin was named after his mother Victoria.
The fairest cape of all without a doubt. Cape Town is the second most populous urban area in South Africa after Johannesburg. It is also the provincial capital and major city of the Western Cape Province. Cape Town is the seat of the national parliament and is also the legislative capital of the Republic of South Africa. The city is famous for its natural beauty and floristic region as well as Table Mountain and the Cape Point. Cape Town was name the World Design Capital for 2014 and was named as the best place in the world to visit in the same year by The New York Times and The Telegraph. The first European settlement of the Cape started in 1652 when Jan van Riebeek arrived to establish a shipping outpost for the Dutch East India Company.
