If the device did clock its CPU and GPU up when a game is playing, that
would be perfect as it’s not necessary for it to be that little bit faster
in the GUI and on Facebook, for example.?

    I have a nexus 5 and I found a disappointing feature.
When the screen shows dark images you can notice the backlight gets
brighter in the top left corner. what is more, of you rotate the phone in
landscape, putting the left corner as your bottom one, you can visibly
notice that the whole left side (the actual bottom one if in portrait) is
brighter, regardless you are watching something brought or dark.
Can you tell me if it’s something you found in your nexus 5 as well or
should I ask for a replacement??

Just a comment: the Nexus 5 basically has the best mobile hardware money
can buy. The only thing it lacks is the extra 1GB of RAM that the Note 3
has, the camera isn’t the best, and the battery could be improved. The
Nexus doesn’t need the extra GB as it doesn’t have the slew of memory
hungry features that the Note 3 includes. The camera can be improved to
almost equal of most mobile cameras today with software updates. The
battery was the only thing I think Google slipped up on. Going with a
smaller model was a serious slip up in my opinion.?

  26. Becoming Conversant with 'R'

    13 January 2014 at 9:27 pm

    *What is R?

    > R is data analysis software:
R is for statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive modeling.

    > R is a programming language:
You do data analysis in R by writing scripts and functions in the R
    programming language.

    > R is a complete, interactive, object-oriented language:
The language provides objects, operators and functions that make the
process of exploring, modeling, and visualizing data a natural
one. Complete data analyses can often be represented in just a few lines of
    code.

    > R is an environment for statistical analysis:
Available in the R language are functions for virtually every data
manipulation, statistical model, or chart that the data analyst could ever
need – including the “standard” methods available, cutting-edge statistics
    and predictive modeling.

    > R is an open-source software project available for free:
The source code is also open for inspection and modification to anyone who
wants to see how the methods and algorithms work under the covers.

    > R is a community:
Since R was first created by Ross Ihaka and Robert Gentleman at the
University of Auckland in 1993there, a strong and vibrant community of R
    users on-line has burgeoned.
