Nedbank Sport Affinity programme – Developing South Africa’s future sports stars | Video

A south african sport video selected by www.Free-Mail.co.za:

The Nedbank Sport Affinity Programme is one of four multi-award-winning programmes — the other programmes being the Green Affinity, the Arts Affinity and the Children’s Affinity. Since inception in 1990 the Nedbank Affinity Programme has donated over R160 million for sport development, arts and culture, the environment and needy children. To date Nedbank has donated nearly R15 million to support sport development projects in South Africa through The Sports Trust. Since its inception in 1994 The Sports Trust has disbursed more than R50 million to nearly 500 projects. The Nedbank Sport Affinity Programme currently supports Nedbank Sports Trust Soccer Development, the Kwadeda Golf Project and the Nedbank Sports Trust Development Cycling Programme.

What is the Nedbank Sport Affinity Programme?

The Nedbank Sport Affinity Programme includes a suite of banking and investment accounts, and when a Sport Affinity client uses these, the bank makes a donation to The Sports Trust for the funding of sport development projects, all at no cost to the client. The accounts include a credit card, investment accounts, savings accounts and current accounts. So, the more you use your Sport Affinity account, the more funds are donated to support your cause.

Why should you join the Nedbank Sport Affinity Programme?

If you care about the development of South African sport, you should join the Nedbank Sport Affinity Programme. When you use any of the Sport Affinity accounts, Nedbank donates money to The Sports Trust for the funding of sport development projects. Funded projects include building active communities by providing all South Africans with opportunities to play sport. The programme provides sporting equipment and upgrades sporting facilities in outlying or previously disadvantaged communities; advances sport in South Africa; helps to identify young sporting talent, and offers coaching and training programmes.

The programme is an innovative way funding the development of South African sports so that The Sports Trust projects have a continuous source of income for years to come.

Furthermore, The Sports Trust has since its inception been a catalyst for meaningful change in sport and recreation. For further information visit www.thesportstrust.co.za.
