Morrisons launches checkout promise:
Supermarket chain chain Morrisons has today made a “checkout promise” that it will open extra checkouts for customers if there is more than one person ahead of them in a queue. A Morrisons spokesman said: “The pledge comes after Morrisons listened carefully to customers who said that queuing was their top frustration in supermarkets ahead of unhelpful service and poor quality products .”
Neighbors, town officials cry foul over a WTFa sign on lawn:
A Connecticut homeowner who planted on his lawn three large wooden letters that spell “WTF” is rankling neighbors and town officials who say the message is offensive. WFSB-TV reports the phrase “Woodbury wastes taxpayer funds” is written on the letters along Main Street in historic Woodbury, a town of 10,000 residents.
