Metro’s 48th Anniversary Dinner: Celebrating a Culture of Sharing – a Culture interest event taking place on 2018-12-06 17:30:00 in United States
We hope you will join us in celebrating Metro’s 48-years of working to enhance the health and well-being of Fresno and the Valley! This year, our annual fundraising efforts are focused on “Celebrating a Culture of Sharing,” as we highlight our newest Food to Share partnership with Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) Superintendent Robert G. Nelson, Ed.D.! Our goal is to raise funds needed to support the additional cargo vans, drivers, maintenance, and operational expenses required to recovery and redistribute the excess healthy food from all 94 FUSD schools with food service. In the next two years, we aspire to be at a 3 million pound recovery and redistribution rate annually, doubling our current reach of over 10,000 residents a year.
