The Gospel Message There is only one gospel, but have you ever considered that there are many facets to the one gospel message? Among the cultures of the world, there are many ways of understanding how sin ruins our relationship with God. In the Garden, Adam and Eve experienced three things as a consquence of their sin: guilt, shame and fear. Most believers learn about the impact of guilt on our relationship with God, and we rejoice that by God's grace we can be declared not guilty of our sin because Jesus paid the penalty for our sin by dying on the cross. As true as that is, much of the world, including America, suffers much more from shame and fear than guilt, and fortunately the gospel speaks to these issues as well. The Many Faces of Salvation Training will give you biblical tools for sharing the gospel with people whose lives may be dominated by shame, fear, loneliness or defilement as well as guilt.
