Man Yi Lok: FUSIAN A Capella and Pop-Rock Band Recital – a Music interest event taking place on 2019-10-24 16:00:00 in United States
Man Yi Lok presents two projects: Summer Drummer, Vincent Lui’s alternative indie-pop project; and FUSIAN, a Harvard University a cappella group with a passion for East Asian culture and music.
Based in San Francisco, California, and Boston, Massachusetts, Summer Drummer writes semi-love songs that draw inspiration from life and the punk simplicity of needing only a few chords to create music.
Founded in spring 2016, FUSIAN seeks to create a space for students to nurture an interest in Asian vocal music and to spread their passion for Asian culture in the community. The performance will feature traditional pieces, movie and video game soundtracks, and contemporary pop mashups in English, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese.
