Man charged over bizarre rampage:
A MAN has been charged after allegedly attacking two Fisheries' officers with a hammer and ramming their vehicle during a frenzied attack in Shelley. Police say the Department of Fisheries and Marine officers were doing surveillance in an unmarked vehicle at Riverton Bridge Park when they were confronted by the man about 4.15pm on February 3. They allege the man threw a broom handle at the vehicle which was parked near the intersection of Riverton Drive East and Fern Road before challenging the officers to a fight.
