LSoft Technologies Launches Active@ LiveCD v.6:
LSoft Technologies is proud to announce an all-new version of its industry-leading disk utilities suite. Active@ LiveCD v.6 has been updated to the latest KDE5 distribution, a popular user interface for operating systems based on the Linux kernel. This version also sports an improved Boot Disk Creator for Windows, as well as updated editions of all the core components: KillDisk, UNDELETE, Partition Recovery, Password Changer, Disk Editor and Disk Backup.
Backup and Disaster-Recovery Made Easy
With Disk Backup, you can back a complete byte-by-byte copy of your hard drive, including the operating system, applications and all your personal files. Aside from making sure that nothing important gets forgotten about, a disk image is also great when you want to replace your hard drive or copy everything over to a new computer without having to do so manually. If you don’t have a disk image handy, yet you’ve lost important files, the included data recovery software should be able to help you. Using UNDELETE, you can effortlessly recover files from formatted drives or those which have been deleted from the Recycle Bin. If, however, your goal is complete deletion of sensitive data, such as it might be if you’re recycling your computer, you can use KillDisk to overwrite everything with zeros.
Because Active@ LiveCD works in its own self-contained environment, it does not matter which operating system (if any) you have installed on your PC. This makes it easier to perform low-level troubleshooting tasks, while also giving you higher chances of successfully recovering your data. Get started today at http://www.livecd.com/ .
