Los Dramaticos – Latin American and flamenco – a Africa interest event taking place on 2019-10-04 19:00:00 in United Kingdom
After recent sell out shows at Bangor Castle and the Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast, LOS DRAMÁTICOS are bringing their new show ‘FIRE IN THE BLOOD’ to venues around the country in Autumn 2019. Los Dramáticos are a Latin music ensemble (Victor Henriquez – Charango; Paddy Anderson – flamenco guitar ) and have been regulars on the music scene in NI on the festival circuit and with long running residencies at the Black Box and elsewhere since 2012. In our Fire in the Blood show, we invite you to accompany us on a musical journey through the cultures of the Latin world. Stunning arrangements of well-known songs played with soul and bravura from around Latin America and Spain on 10-string charango (Victor Henríquez), flamenco guitar (Paddy Anderson) and percussion (Steve Davis) are interspersed with surprising and humorous stories from their personal encounters with Latin music and culture. Joyful melodies, hot rhythms and beautiful harmonies combine with tragic lyrics in music from the melting pots of Cuba, Chile, Bolivia, Mexico, Argentina and those other mysterious places where Africa, Asia and Europe meet.
