A nice Cape Town image:
Long low evening sun

A shot taken as I was climbing up through the Silvermine reserve on my way home. I had been out looking for street shots in Wynberg (a suburb of Cape Town with a heavy mixture of grit and chic), but there had been none of the hard low light I was looking for.
Suddenly as I was driving over the pass, the sun broke through, and illuminated the patch of trees in the foreground, and the ridge in the middle, making quite a dramatic scene.
This area is around a 20 minute drive from the centre of Cape Town – there are not many cities with an area this beautiful, so close to the metropolis. You can see Table mountain in the background (the horizontal ridge). The city bowl is just on the other side.
