LENSES: The lenses are MUCH better than I would have expected for the price. The wide angle itself is worth the cost of the kit alone. I am NOT saying these are the same quality as $400 brand name professional lenses, but I do think that these lenses are more than good enough for beginners to more advanced photographers for the price. I am a photography enthusiast that doesn’t have the money to spend on professional equipment so I am happy. Lenses were well built, high quality looking and even came in protective pouches. I used the wide angle to get some great group shots and was very pleased with the results. I was able to fit almost twice as much into my shot compared to no wide angle. The telephoto zoom added a nice little effect, not too much, but for the price it was still nice to have.
FILTERS: Filters fit perfectly and worked as advertised. Very satisfied!
MACRO FILTER KIT: These filters looked and felt like quality products. The wide angle lens also come with a detachable macro lens that allows for amazing close up macro photos. I will post some of my photos here this weekend. These macro filters work more like magnifying lenses and can be stacked one on top of the other to take high detail shots of flowers or coins or whatever.
LENS HOOD: No surprises here. I’ve owned plenty of lens hoods in my time. Not original Canon brand but well made, sturdy, and gets the job done. (Definitely not worth paying for a name brand hood.)
CLEANING SUPPLIES: Like others reviewers have said, a nice little bonus. The microfibers were awesome. Came individually wrapped. They are much better than the free microfibers I get from my optometrist. I used them on my Iphone and Ipad.
RING ADAPTERS: This kit fit my 58mm Canon EF-S 18-55mm lens like a charm so I have no need for the adapter rings at the moment but they are nice to have in case I need them in the future. They are made of metal and are lightweight.
All in all, very happy with the purchase. I was not looking to spend too much money and for less than $100 this was a bargain by any standard. The entire ordering process was a breeze. I received my package in 4 days and it even included a hand signed note from the owner of the company guaranteeing 100% satisfaction. Nice products, awesome service and a reasonable price. I give this kit 5 stars. (I have to say one more thing: to buy a set of lenses and filters like this and judge them negatively the way some of the other reviewers have done I think is just being unfair and not helpful to everyone else. I almost did not buy it cause of the few negative reviews but I’m glad I did cause I got more than what I paid for. If you want professional lenses then don’t buy this set. This kit is great FOR THE PRICE!) Hope my review helped!

Lots of worthless components with a couple of nice items,
1. 2.0X Telephoto: Creates incredibly blurry photos that degrade as you move out from the center. If you can afford it, just purchase a nice IS telephoto for your camera…you’ll be much happier.
2. Tulip hood: Does NOT thread properly onto Canon lenses (it will thread into UV filters over the lens, so that’s one work-around) Works very poorly with the 250mm telephoto zoom (creates image crop around the corners). I’ve never had this issue with the Canon-brand hoods.
3. Three cleaning cloths AND a cleaning cloth brush set? It’s nice, but considering the cost of the kit, these are negligible items you can purchase separately.
4. Adapter ring set: you are paying for something you’ll probably never use as long as you continue to purchase lens components that are the proper size (i.e., 58mm or whatnot). I believe this is just a “thing” they added to the kit to make it seem like you’re getting a lot for a little money.
Now for the GOOD:
1. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the wide-angle attachment. I was considering purchasing a $500+ wide angle Canon lens but couldn’t justify the cost. While this attachment doesn’t even TOUCH the quality of the wide angle from Canon, it isn’t hideous, either. A novice photographer will enjoy the added freedom while an amateur or semi-professional will be sorely disappointed.
2. Nice little filter set. They are “gritty” when screwing onto the lens, which speaks to the lower quality and the near-incompatibility with the Canon brand lens…otherwise, they do what they’re supposed to do and will improve the quality of the picture.
3. Nice little macro filter kit. If you can’t afford a super expensive macro lens, this kit will get you through until you can. Realize though, that they act as magnifying glasses, not as a “lens”, so you will need to do the foot work and focusing work to get the shot you want.
4. Shipping. The shipping was speedy and everything came packaged and exactly as described.
While there are good things and bad things about the kit, the cost VS the quality just doesn’t add up for me and I will be returning it. I certainly hope that the return process is painless and will update the review on that aspect of the purchase.
