Global leader in EdTech, Emeritus, Partners with Eduvos to Revolutionise Executive Education in Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa – Emeritus, a global leader in providing access to global education through partnerships with elite Institutions, has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with Eduvos, a leading private higher education institution in South Africa. This collaboration will introduce a first-of-its-kind professional education offering to the African market, making world-class education accessible and affordable for a wide range of professionals across the continent.

Emeritus has been at the forefront of global education for over 13 years, collaborating with more than 80 prestigious schools across the world. With a network of 2,000 employees worldwide and offices in over 20 countries, Emeritus has been recognised as the no. 1 EdTech Company in the World by Time Magazine, and received recognition as the one of the world’s top 150 most transformational growth companies in digital learning by Global Silicone Valley (GSV).

Zandi Kleynhans, Associate Director of Enterprise at Emeritus, shares her excitement about the partnership, saying: “This collaboration with Eduvos is a game-changer for the African market. It’s all about affordability and access—access to elite global universities, access to the job market, and access to the next step in your career. From school leavers to young professionals looking to grow, this initiative provides high-quality asynchronous short courses designed to equip learners with the skills needed to secure employment, earn promotions, and compete on a global stage. By bringing world-class education to local learners, we’re breaking down barriers and creating new opportunities for economic growth.”
This new offering is uniquely designed to provide students with world-class content from Emeritus, enriched with Eduvos learning services and support. Participants can engage with a diverse selection of short courses tailored to meet the rapidly evolving demands of the business world. Whether they seek to enhance leadership skills, explore emerging fields, or build expertise in specialized areas, this flexible learning model ensures accessibility for school leavers, young professionals, and seasoned leaders alike.

By combining the global excellence of Emeritus content with Eduvos’ localized services, learners can achieve valuable qualifications at their own pace, free from the constraints of traditional classroom settings or rigid schedules.

Siegie Brownlee, CEO of Eduvos, emphasises the importance of this initiative, stating: “Eduvos is proud to be the trailblazer in Africa, offering this unique educational experience to a wide demographic. Our mission is to make education more accessible, and through this partnership with Emeritus, we’re able to provide working professionals with the tools they need to advance in their careers and fill critical skill gaps in the marketplace. This partnership aligns with our vision of preparing students for the future, ensuring that they have the qualifications and skills required in today’s competitive global landscape.”

The partnership will offer a curated selection of certificates from top institutions. These certificates, awarded upon successful completion of the programmes, will be accessible exclusively through Eduvos’s bespoke Emeritus portal, offering an easy and convenient platform for all aspiring Eduvos students to explore and enrol in the programmes most relevant to their career goals.
The programme’s affordability is another key feature. While corporate clients have traditionally been able to afford the higher costs of executive education, the cost of such programmes has often been a barrier for individual professionals. This new offering by Eduvos and Emeritus addresses this gap, providing an affordable, flexible alternative for young professionals seeking to enhance their qualifications without the financial strain.

“This collaboration is designed for those who are excellent in their jobs but have not had the opportunity to gain the qualifications that could propel them further up the professional ladder,” Kleynhans adds. “It opens doors to new possibilities for individuals who may have missed out on university due to various circumstances but now have a chance to level up their career with internationally recognised certifications.”
Eduvos’ partnership with Emeritus underscores its commitment to shaping the future of education in Africa and providing learners with innovative solutions that meet the evolving demands of the workforce. It is a bold step towards addressing South Africa’s skills gap and empowering professionals with the education they need to thrive in the global marketplace.
