Cute, but LED lights do not work, April 29, 2012

I purchase this Dolphin Sculpture with LED Lights for my granddaughter’s birthday, as she loves dolphins! I opened the package when it arrived to be sure that the sculpture was not broken, but did not pull the battery tab as I didn’t want to use the batteries before giving it to her (very bad idea). I kept the sculpture for about a month until her birthday. When she opened it, she really loved it, but the LED lights did not work at all. We opened the battery compartment and found the batteries to be corroded. We cleaned the area and bought new batteries (very difficult to find). The LED lights still do not work properly. It only blinks blue. I give this product 2 stars because it is very cute. Unfortunately, I cannot return this product since I kept it so long before really examining it, and most unfortunately, I gave the seller 5 stars because I received the product promptly and it appeared to be fine. Very disappointing!

This is surprisingly nice for the cost. The plastic resin is very detailed. The friend I bought it for liked it a lot.
