FUTURELIFE® Launches Rice Pops – Breakfast Magic Kids can’t Resist

FUTURELIFE® is putting the fun back into breakfast with the launch of its latest addition to the FUTURELIFE® Kids Cereal range: Rice Pops. This delicious, crunchy rice cereal is made from 93% rice, contains no artificial colourants or flavouring and has less than half a teaspoon of sugar per serving – making it a healthy breakfast option that kids will love.

Justine Agnew, Marketing Manager for FUTURELIFE®, explains that the new cereal has been developed with growing children in mind. “Breakfast is important as it provides kids with the energy they need to start the day. So, FUTURELIFE® Rice Pops isn’t just a tasty meal—it offers 30% of their daily requirements of three essential minerals: zinc, copper, and selenium in every serving. Our inclusion of these key minerals reflects our commitment to supporting children’s development and helping them to stay healthy,” she says.

Low in Sugar, Big on Taste

Agnew notes that one of the key concerns for parents today is excessive sugar intake by their children. FUTURELIFE® Rice Pops are the perfect choice to manage this without compromising on taste. Kids still get to enjoy the irresistible crunch, while parents are assured that they are providing their family with a nourishing breakfast.

“Our goal was to reduce the sugar while keeping the flavour children love. We believe we’ve nailed that balance – delivering a traditional favourite that’s both appetising and a healthy alternative,” she explains.

Adventure in a Box

The new cereal also brings fun to the breakfast table with its colourful, interactive packaging.

Each box features Riley the Rhino, a relatable character that comes to life with flip-up ears, turning ordinary mornings into exciting adventures. Not only do kids get to enjoy their breakfast but also the activities on the box, keeping them entertained while they eat.

“It’s not just about what’s inside the box but the experience around it,” says Agnew. “Our characters bring a bit of magic to the breakfast table, helping kids want to sit down and eat.”

So, whether it’s the rush of school mornings or the need for a quick meal or snack, FUTURELIFE® Rice Pops are ready to go in seconds. Simply add milk or yoghurt and you’ve got a meal that’s delicious and quick to prepare – perfect for families juggling hectic schedules. After all, who says fun breakfasts are only for kids?

With guaranteed availability in stores across South Africa, FUTURELIFE® Rice Pops offers an easy way to introduce a healthier breakfast option that kids will actually want to eat but that doesn’t stretch your budget. Rice Pops ticks all the boxes – so it’s a win all round.”

With over 10 years of experience delivering innovative products that combine convenience, nutrition and taste, Rice Pops is simply the latest addition to the brand’s commitment to providing balanced nutrition that supports your family’s health.
