Event Description: We offer dance for everyone and anyone, every age…including children (accompanied by an adult). People attend ages 2 – 80. Our music is rich, varied, playful and joyful. The set list, the venue and the people make the dance awesome., This is an experience of moving spontaneously and soulfully, just the way you need and want to. Hold still, move fast. YOUR WAY., We have yoga mats, yoga blocks, jump ropes, scarves, shakers, tambourines, drums, and sometimes hoola hoops., Our music is from all continents. We begin slowly and build up to fast-paced inspiration at the peak then come back down to rest. Often, we have music from every era since the 1950s, and music form all over the world including Africa, Brazil, Bollywood, Asia, Ireland, Iceland, Mexico, Georgia. Drum beats, native music, indigenous music, the music of various cultures., If you feel shy, come try it. There is nothing required. No steps, no instructions, no choreography. We support each other without conversation, on the dance floor, in being exactly how we each are. This is living spontaneity, a place to be without words, without plans., If you’ve been to ecstatic dance in any city, you’ll recognize some similarities with the freeform style of dancing any way you wish. Our Freeform Dance Dance in Seattle is very family friendly, brightly lit with natural gigantic windows opening into huge trees. People say over and over again how much they appreciate the natural environment and the morning hour for starting the weekend out just right., We can’t wait to dance with you!
