Freedom Through Forgiveness, Cape Town, South Africa – a South Africa interest event taking place on 2016-05-07 09:00:00 in South Africa
‘Forgiveness involves a shift of identity. There is in us an undying capacity for love and freedom that is untouched by what happens to you. To come back to this true nature is the work of forgiveness.’ – Jack Kornfield We all want to experience a life of joy and happiness, yet sometimes we get hurt and hurt others. Left unresolved, we feel blame, anger, rage, shame, guilt and resentment or try to pretend it never happened. That’s a heavy burden. Yet, Freedom is possible – through Forgiveness – but the problem is you cannot talk, will or force yourself into it. The painful feelings don’t go away just because you or someone says ‘I forgive you’. In fact, prematurely ‘willing’ yourself to forgive is like putting icing on a mud cake. Forgiveness makes us happier. It improves our health. We are able to think more clearly and resolve conicts e?ectively. It deepens our relationships with ourselves and others, and we experience more connectedness and kindness. In this "Forgiveness for Freedom" workshop you will be supported and guided as you find your way through your own journey to the place of forgiveness. This is the first in a series of workshops on the theme of Forgiveness designed by very gifted and dedicated facilitators to support you as you go through your process. You will be given tools and techniques to guide you into a deep space of self-love. When you love yourself enough to let go of the pain that you are carrying, you can truly enjoy the freedom of your life.
