A cool Camps Bay Beach image:
Fiesta Island, San Diego, CA July 10, 2014 – You can see the tide is low.

Fiesta Island is in the middle of Mission Bay Park in San Diego, CA next to the I-5. It has trash cans, portable toilets, no drinking water. It’s leash free. A paved one way loop road. Good for water sports, swimming (no life guards), day camping (the island closes at 10 p.m. each night – everyone must leave). People ride their horses along the beach and dogs can roam. It’s not crowded usually. Most tourists don’t even know it there. The tide flushes the salty ocean water twice a day. And best of all there is no charge to use the park.
p.s. There are two public sanitary dump stations at other locations in Mission Bay Park: at South Shores and next to the visitor center just off the I-5 near Clairemont Drive.
