Fellowship Preparation: KFP – a Africa interest event taking place on 2017-11-25 09:00:00 in Australia
This is a two day course that will be delivered on Saturday 25 November and Saturday 2 December 2017. The course will assist GPs preparing for the Key Feature Problems (KFP) component of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) fellowship exam. This course provides attendees with the opportunity to answer KFP questions under the guidance of highly experienced examiners. This course is not designed to increase the medical knowledge of attendees, but focuses on the underlying principles of answering KFP questions using critical thinking and problem solving skills. Presenters: Dr Meindert van der Veer Meindert is an International Medical Graduate who has specialist qualifications as a physician and GP. Meindert began working in rural Australia in 2000 after gaining medical experience in South Africa, the UK and New Zealand. He is now working in a metropolitan practice and also works as an examiner for the RACGP (KFP, clinical exam and Practice Based Assessment) and Australian Medical Council (clinical exam). Meindert is a supervisor of GP registrars and regularly conducts rural emergency skills training courses on behalf of ACRRM. Dr Penny Gaskell Penny gained Fellowship of the RACGP in 2000 after completing her medical degree in Australia. Penny has worked in a variety of settings including as lecturer in the General Practice and Primary Health Care Academic Centre of the University of Melbourne. Penny’s current roles include Eastern Health GP Liaison Medical Officer and examiner for the RACGP (KFP and clinical exam), Australian Medical Council (clinical exam) and Health Education Australia Limited.
