e4 CFO honoured with award at FiNext Conference 2020:
Adri Führi, e4 Group CFO, has been announced as an ‘Excellence in Finance — Leaders award’ winner for her contribution to the financial sector at the FiNext Awards & Conference 2020, held this week at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.
Presented at an award ceremony during the two day conference, attended by some of the industry’s best and brightest, Führi says receiving the award is a huge honour and represents recognition from peers for her contribution to e4 and the fintech industry at large: “e4 is an innovative and rapidly-evolving brand and being recognised for my ability to make a difference and enact change within the organisation has been a career highlight.”
At the beginning of her career, Führi made a conscious decision not to climb the traditional corporate ladder. Instead, choosing to rather use her finance qualification within a number of strategic banking initiatives, despite not having any technical experience.
According to Führi, her success is not only due to determination and perseverance, but also the support from leaders and her team. With more than two decades of experience in the financial sector, Führi joined e4 in 2017 as CFO with additional HR responsibilities. She welcomed the challenge of joining a high growth and fast paced technology organisation and felt her years within the banking industry positioned her well: “In a rapidly changing business landscape, it is important for finance leaders to develop a wide array of skills to empower themselves and support their businesses effectively. This includes the use of technology and understanding the power of these solutions.”
In addition to supporting a range of stakeholders with financial guidance, Führi is a passionate advocate for the creation of a sustainable environment and enabling youth and women in the workplace: “Through a number of strategic initiatives the e4 team is leading the charge in nurturing and facilitating local skills for the betterment of the ICT industry and South Africa at large.”
The FiNext Awards & Conference was held on 26 and 27 February in Dubai, bringing together and celebrating the excellence of companies and people in the fintech sector. The conference strives to build a platform for start-ups, SMEs, key decision-makers, researchers, investors and people from the media to interact and garner meaningful alliances. “The Finext Conference has provided a valuable space to access new ideas that will enable further change within our organisation and for our clients”, says Führi.
