We are conducting interviews for our January 2019 Intake. Diploma of Nursing is one of the Free TAFE courses being offered in 2019. In order to register for an interview you must have completed the following two steps: Step 1: Attend an information session- If you have not completed Step 1, please refer to http://www.boxhill.edu.au/events/ for dates and how to register your interest. Step 2: Complete the Core Skills Diagnostic Test with no less than 3 ACSF score in Reading, Numeracy and Writing. Please Note: All applicants for the Diploma of Nursing must provide evidence of meeting at least one of the English Language standards below prior to their interview. 1. At least 6 (Six) years of primary and secondary education taught and assessed in English in either Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States of America, including at least two years between years 7 and 12. 2. At least 4 (Four) years* (full time equivalent) of education taught and assessed in English, in any of the recognised countries (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, United States of America, Canada, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom). NOTE: Box Hill Institute will only accept the following:?vocational and secondary education taught and assessed in English; or ?tertiary and vocational education taught and assessed in English; or ?combined tertiary, secondary and vocational education taught and assessed in English; or ?tertiary education taught and assessed in English IELTS (academic module). We only accept test results: ?from one test sitting, or ?a maximum of two test sittings in a six month period only if: ?you achieve a minimum overall score of 7 in each sitting, and ?you achieve a minimum score of 7 in each component across the two sittings, and ?no score in any component of the test is below 6.5 OET- We will only accept test results:?from one test sitting, or ?a maximum of two test sittings in a six month period only if: ?you are tested in all four components in each sitting, and ?you achieve a minimum score of B in each component across the two sittings, and ?no score in any component of the test is below C. PTE Academic. We will only accept test results:?from one test sitting, or ?a maximum of two test sittings in a six month period only if:?a minimum overall score of 65 is achieved in each sitting, and ?you achieve a minimum score of 65 in each of the communicative skills across the two sittings, and ?no score in any of the communicative skills is below 58 TOEFL iBT. We will only accept test results:?from one test sitting, or ?a maximum of two test sittings in a six month period only if:?a minimum total score of 94 is achieved in each sitting, and you achieve a minimum score of 24 for listening, 24 for reading, 27 for writing and 23 for speaking across the two sittings, and ?no score in any of the sections is below: ?20 for listening ?19 for reading ?24 for writing, and ?20 for speaking We are unable to interview applicants who have not met the above requirements prior to their interview appointment. Please note: – The interview will be a group interview and will take approximately 2 hours. – Please arrive at Building LC level 4 reception approximately 30 minutes prior to your interview time. – Allow yourself extra time to find car park and find the interview location. – As it is a group interview, we are not able to allow you in to the interview once it has commenced. – Late arrivals will need to re-book into another available time slot What to bring in for the interview: Please bring the following Original documents and attested photocopies if you have not already submitted with us: Proof of age (Driver’s Licence/ Passport/ Birth Certificate) Proof of Residency (Passport/ Birth certificate/ Green Medicare card or relevant visa documents) Unique Student Identifier (USI) – it is a requirement for all students studying accredited VET training.
