Irish Band with Passionate Vocals and Dazzling Instrumentals
An Icon of Irish Music
Why you should see this show…
Six-person West Irish folk band Dervish has been around the world and back, recently becoming the first Irish band to play at the world-renowned Rock in Rio festival in front of an audience of 250,000 people. Their songs are steeped in Irish tradition and culture, some of which date back over 350 years, bringing genuine history to the stage and combining it with their exceptional energy. Their music moves from toe-tapping reels and heartbreaking love songs to the humorous to aching ballads. Dervish has toured together for 17 years, and you can definitely tell from the members’ tongue-in-cheek onstage chemistry and musical synchronicity.
