Are you a creative practitioner or artist? Do you wish to build your practice or business but have challenges you need to overcome? Do you wish to expand your creativity or like to take advantage of opportunities? If so, our drop-in surgeries will give you the perfect opportunity to speak to our professional creative business advisors on a whole range of subjects and advice. From marketing to unblocking your creative talents; from business skills to access to finance, our drop-in surgeries are a great no-obligation way for you to access a range of free advice and resources for your creative and artistic practice. You simply drop-in for a quick 15 minute or more chat with our qualified Culture+ team. Refreshments will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to access even more support and resources throughout the year. These surgeries are ideal for all creative practitioners including photographers, artists, ceramicists, craft makers, musicians, galleries, art centres, writers, illustrators, film makers, and much more. You can be at pre-start-up stage or established. We welcome all to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills with the creative sector.  WHAT YOU WILL GO AWAY WITH Attendees will go away with a clearer understanding of what is required to grow their creative practice, be able to access further support and mentoring from industry professionals, get access to workshops and opportunities to extend their portfolios and business, and feel connected to wider creative industry in Dorset and beyond. ABOUT THE ADVISORS Our advisors are experienced professionals from a range of creative business backgrounds including art, illustration, business development, marketing, funding and creative personal development. WHAT TO BRING Your business and creative ideas, frustrations, barriers to success, areas of interest for business development. It is advised to bring images of some of your work. This allows our advisors to get a visual representation of your work and how it applies to business and creative growth. If you are based outside Dorset please call us before attending as only Dorset residents qualify for a place.
