Crocworld the Chosen Venue for the 2024 Sappi Scottburgh MTB & Trail Run

For the first time in the event’s history, the highly anticipated Sappi Scottburgh MTB & Trail Run will start and finish at the exquisite Crocworld Conservation Centre on the KZN South Coast. Competitors are encouraged to book now for the race taking place on Sunday, 22 September 2024, with Crocworld announcing a flat entry rate of R60 per person on the day, and great food and drink specials.

“We are delighted to have been chosen as the host venue for this fantastic race, and look forward to welcoming the mountain biking and trail running enthusiasts, as well as the many spectators coming out to show their support,” said Crocworld Conservation Centre Manager, James Wittstock. “Scottburgh is a popular sporting events destination, and to show our support, we’re setting the entrance fee at a flat rate of R60 per person with no charge for children under three years.”

The stunning Fish Eagle Café, based at Crocworld Conservation Centre, will also be running some great food and drinks specials – for competitors and spectators – from 6am to 4pm on the day. Some of the delectable offerings will include:

· Bacon & egg breakfast rolls
· Peanut butter, banana & oats smoothies
· Mixed berry & Greek yoghurt smoothies
· Espressos and cappuccinos
· Whey powder chocolate/strawberry-flavoured milk
· Chicken & oven-roasted poke bowls with brown rice & Yakitori sauce
· Bacon, avo, feta & olive panini & chips
· Crumbed chicken burger/saucy beef burger & chips
· Chicken nuggets & chips (kiddies)
· Assorted cold drinks
· Assorted beers & ciders
· Boujee alcoholic slushies (watermelon & malibu | lemon-lime & tequila)
· Heineken Silver on tap

Start: 7am
Routes: 5km | 12km
Costs: R110 for 5km | R200 for 12km

MTB Events
Start: 8.30am
Routes: 12km | 20km | 45km
Costs: R200 for 12km | R230 for 20km | R300 for 45km

Late Entries Close: 6am at Crocworld on 22 September 2024

Fish Eagle Café has also announced a September Special of deep-fried hake fillet with tartar sauce and chips for R75 and Boujee slushes in watermelon & Malibu or lime-lemon tequila for R65.
