#mypubliclandsroadtrip 2016: Something Different, Idaho Boater Parks

This labor day weekend, #boat #fish #swim and #camp at an Idaho boater park with #mypubliclandsroadtrip.
Catch the morning sunrise at BLM’s Windy Bay Boater Park along the western shores of Lake Coeur d’ Alene. This quiet, tucked away boat-in only campground offers 14 tent camping sites, 7 mooring docks and unique floating outhouses. The site is open year-round to boaters.
Or boat-in to the one-acre Popcorn island on Killarney Lake to camp or picnic for the day. Small and intimate, the site offers just one overnight camping unit from May through September. Campers and picnickers should bring their own water and plan to pack out their trash as the primitive site does not offer amenities.
Calm waters and breathtaking views treat visitors at Mica Bay Boater Park. Access to the site is either by boat or by walking in a quarter of a mile. The well-developed site – open year-round – is popular with families that want to hold boat-in get-togethers. A large grass lawn and sandy beach offer lots of room to play and swim.
