"What’s My Line?" game show’s host, John Daly (February 20, 1914 – February 24, 1991); Daly, born in Johannesburg, South Africa, was also a journalist and radio personality. He served as host and moderator on the panel show during its 17-year run from 1950 through 1967. Daly missed hosting "What’s My Line?" for only four shows.
This episode had as its "mystery celebrity guests" newly crowned Miss America Lee Meriwether and film director Alfred Hitchcock. It aired on September 12, 1954.
