This was such a strange time in Muizenberg, just prior to all the new renovations (which have been so sorely needed) to the beach front area. A film crew moved in and within the space of a week or two transformed the street into an early 1900’s American coastal town. For the made-for-tv movie "12 Days of Terror", filmed in 2004. Most of the buildings in this shot were decorated with fake facades for the movie.
This was taken early one morning on the set just prior to filming. I’ve applied an Orton effect to this photo to add to the dream-like fantasy of the scene.
