Constantia Glen is open and ready to take your order

Constantia Glen Austrian beef goulash with Spätzle

Constantia Glen is open and ready to take your order: Constantia Glen is ready to welcome back guests longing to savour familiar favourites with signature cool climate wines at this picture perfect boutique wine estate.

With Women’s Month in full swing they are pulling out all the stops for Women’s Day on Monday, 9 August. Raise a toast to the special women in your lives at the tasting room while enjoying live music by local musician Lize Mynhardt from 14h00 to 16h00 with a complimentary glass of Constantia Saddle Rosé for all the lovely ladies on arrival. Follow @ConstantiaGlen on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to stay in the loop on the latest news and event updates.

With comfort food in abundance an afternoon spent at Constantia Glen, sipping wine and taking in the beautiful views is not complete without tucking into generous artisanal cheese and charcuterie platters or linger over lunch or early supper.

Relish the iconic wood-fired Flammkuchen (flatbread) or warm up to a selection of delicious homemade soups and more substantial dishes. Available as single servings or as a trio of smaller portions, visitors can indulge in Constantia Glen’s famous traditional Austrian beef goulash served with Spätzle, French onion soup with croûte au fromage, and delicious roasted cauliflower soup served with crispy, freshly baked bread. The soups are available at R95 and the Austrian beef goulash at R130 per person, or R110 for the trio. Each of these winter warmers can be partnered perfectly with an elegant Constantia Glen wine.

Their winter menu also surprises with slow cooked lamb shank served with mashed potatoes, wild mushrooms and vegetables at R250 per person. Spoil yourselves to these hearty dishes next to a roaring fire in the cosy glass house surrounded by stunning winter vineyard views or in the warm winter sun in the outdoor cobblestone or fountain seating areas. Add a bottle of smooth, elegant Constantia Glen red to really make the most of your experience.

In keeping with Alert Level 3 regulations, the Constantia Glen tasting room is open daily from 10h00 to 17h00 for the month of August with strict COVID protocols in place. There is limited seating so booking ahead is recommended via http://www.constantiaglen.com, email enquiries@constantiaglen.com or call 021-7955639.
