On Saturday 10 April 2010, the 68 000-seater Cape Town Stadium hosted its final official test event for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

In addition to the inaugural Cape Town International Challenge being the stadium’s first international football event, it was also the stadium’s first full-capacity, night-time football event. Under-20 teams Ghana and Brazil were the first teams to play under the "Ring of Fire" floodlights.

It’s been remarkable to have watched the stadium go from this, to this, to this, to this and to this.
